Kajal teaches movement with precision, patience, and a deep respect for the body.
Kajal Maria Prince is a Pilates and integrative movement coach whose work sits at the intersection of strength, awareness, and long-term wellbeing.
Inspired by her father, E. C. Prince, a state-level basketball player, Kajal grew up immersed in sport. What began as physical training naturally evolved into a deeper exploration of mental resilience and spiritual grounding.
She works with people who feel disconnected from their bodies, dealing with back pain, stiffness, postural strain, shallow breathing, or the quiet sense that movement has become harder than it should be. Her approach is grounded, intelligent, and built around understanding why the body feels the way it does, not just pushing it to perform.
Kajal is one of Cochin’s earliest and most established Pilates teachers, with several years of active teaching through her own practice and in collaboration with studios such as Mamangam Dance Company and Zwagg Fitness. She has also led Pilates workshops in partnership with brands including Mercedes-Benz Coastal Star, The Radiance Clinic, Aura Social, and Mamangam Dance Company.
In 2025, she launched dedicated here Pilates with Kajal, her dedicated studio in Cochin, focused on Reformer, Tower (apparatus) and Mat Pilates, with an emphasis on personal attention, intelligent programming, and sustainable movement.
Her approach to movement
Kajal came to Pilates through personal experience, navigating lower back pain and a deep curiosity about movement that supports the body rather than overwhelms it.
Pilates builds strength from the inside out, activating the deep core and stabilising muscles around the spine, ribcage, and hips. For Kajal, this wasn’t just a method, it was a way to reclaim balance, ease, and trust in the body.
Her teaching places strong emphasis on building core strength posture, joint mobility, coordination, and breath to movement, helping clients build mind body awareness alongside strength. Over time, this restores confidence in how the body moves and responds.
Training and integration
Kajal is certified across Classical, Contemporary, and Modern Pilates, blending the strengths of all three into a hybrid, results-driven practice. She is also a certified Rehabilitation Trainer, allowing her to identify imbalances, support injury recovery, and guide clients safely back to functional movement.
Her training extends beyond Pilates:
Animal Flow, for natural, fluid movement patterns
Pranayama training in Rishikesh, deepening her understanding of breath and regulation
Peer counselling, offering a safe, non-judgmental space for conversation and support
Pranic healing, for those seeking holistic wellbeing beyond the physical body
This multidisciplinary background reflects her belief that the body, mind, and breath are inseparable and that neglecting one limits the others.
